Navajo weavings are some of the most dynamic forms of Native
American art.
After decades of being dismissed as merely saddle blankets or
floor rugs, Navajo rugs have emerged to take their rightful place
among other tried and true works of art. The knowlege, creativity,
and skill required to weave a Navajo rug cannot be understated.
Some weavers produce their own yarn, and all carry on a tradition
born in innovation - and the tradition continues. From elaborate
wall hangings with impressive coverage, to detail-oriented tapestries,
we strive to select examples of some of the very best in our
region. These weavings speak for themselves!
