Steven Daubs had family members from both Jemez pueblo and San
Ildefonso pueblo.
Known for both his stone polished
tanware and redware sgraffito jars, bowls, seed pots and miniatures,
Steven's sister Patricia and brother Dennis continue making pottery.
Steven is credited as having
taught Patricia to make pottery. Both are cited in Gregory Schaaf's
book on American Indian potters from the Southern pueblos.
