Warren Coriz
Santo Domingo
Turtle Bowl
3 1/4"
H x 8" D
I'm a big fan of Santo Domingo
pottery, and I love the translucent quality of the pigments.
Robert Tenorio has always been a favorite of mine, but I must
say Warren Coriz is hot on his trail.
This young potter has all
the signs of greatness. He only lacks exposure. We're excited
to present this piece, and we look forward to bringing you more.
Warren Coriz is in his late
30's and has been making pottery for only a few years, but he
is already showing tremendous promise. Warren learned his potting
techniques from famed potter Robert Tenorio and continues to
study with him today.
Warren is the son-in-law of
the famous Santo Domingo potters Hilda and Arthur Coriz. His
work has excellent shape, good details and solid colors. He signs
his pieces with Warren Coriz and a corn stalk.
