Rachael Concho was born in
1936 and has been making pottery since 1959. She is a member
of the Roadrunner Clan. She was taught by her mother Santana
Cerno and has long been considered one of Acoma's finest potters.
She won "Best of Show"
at santa Fe Indian Market in 2000, and has won 1st, 2nd, and
3rd at Eight Northern Indian Pueblos Arts & Crafts Show.
She is the sister of Joseph
Cerno and the mother in law of Carolyn Lewis - Concho. When asked
what she likes best about making pottery she said, "Just
knowing that my buyers can enjoy what I make".
